Hey, on two different systems, I can hear one "click" per second when I connect my phone to it. The clicking stops after like 5 seconds but I've always been wondering about where the clicking comes from.
Is it some kind of handshake or initialisation for headphones that come with a media control unit in the cable? I actually know quite a lot about audio/PA stuff and music production but I never found a reply to this

I've first noticed it with my Android connecting to my Mercedes H&K Stereo but now I've switched to iPhone and it's still there. Didn't want to mention iOS in OP cuz you know 'muh fanboy' n stuff.
Idk about Android but on Apple Systems, the aux pops out ONCE, like 4 seconds after music stopped playing. But it in no way repeats the clicking then
