Friendly reminder that GNOME is a Red Hat project and corporations like Red Hat serve enterprises. This is why GNOME always lacks features that you would expect on any other DE to be standard and bluntly refuses others bringing in their code. GNOME is not made for users, it is made for Red Hat clients.

They have their own interest. Their position is: We create something minimal that works and if you users want to use it for home use, you can pimp it with themes and extensions and all the applications you like, but we do not feel responsible for that and do not come complaining when things do not work properly or start crashing.

gnome is trash but sadly other alternatives aren't much better

This is emberassing to say the least.

Talk is cheap. It doesn't surprise me that habitual whiners would flake when it's time to actually give up some time or money to solve the problem.
>>
>>60956569
Someone already solved it for gtk2 and guess what, the devs are too autistic to accept his patches, so why would anyone bother patching gtk3?
>>
>>60956452
Nobody wants to touch C, it's straight up puke inducing if the project gets 10k LoC
>>

>too autistic
And by that you mean GTK2 is in freeze because it's quick on its way out.

Don't get me wrong, GNOME devs are pathetic for allowing this to still be a problem. Fixing an old-and-busted POS like gtk2 still isn't going to do anyone any good.

All this proves is that GNOME users are more likely to be away from their computers during the summer months, either working or spending time with family and friends and that KDE users are more likely to be shut in their houses browsing youtube. Makes total sense considering GNOME is used as enterprise desktop (people with jobs) and KDE is hobbyist crap (NEETS, conned by Stallman who admits to being of jewish decent in to working for free).
