How do I get better graphics performance with AMD on linux?

I'm using the radeon driver (open source) and everything is sluggish and shit. Arch linux XFCE

Even for example Netflix just feels laggy, hell even typing in this text box feels laggy.

Should I just install ubuntu?

Apparently AMD drivers are shit.
Also, nvidia Open source drivers are shit too...
I'm using proprietary nvidia drivers...
I feel dirty...

Linux is for posers, memers, ricers, freetards and subhumans with no value not for actual use

What card? If you can you should use AMDGPU, which is the newer open source AMD driver. It also has a closed source variant called AMDGPU-PRO that you can probably get in the AUR.

Use the proprietary ones. nouveau and radeon are dogshit. If you have a dGPU you have to use the proprietary drivers.

AMDGPU is pretty good

Wrong. For Nvidia you want the proprietary ones, but for AMD you want the free drivers.

this thread again.

Because of non-free bits in linux drivers and survilance.

Especcially AMD could work perfectly fine on linux but various evil people messed with the RadeonHD Linux Driver (a driver with no non-free bits) development and because nobody bothered enough to stop them. now basically all graphics drivers get these nice little non-free bit implemented and either are already spying on you or at least have the function to load stuff to do bad things.

Oh, and ist it nice that the main Desktop toolkits like Qt and GTK for some reasone require those functions even thought it could work just fine without?

Congratualation!!! You just found out about the Linux Graphics conspiracy!
