Well, I didn't do my research and got an E series not a T series Thinkpad (E550). I'm still happy with it, but it just doesn't run as fast as I'd like, even with an I7.
I refused to get laptops most of my life because I think they're unreliable. A technician I spoke to recently explained to me that the big concern is heat, and that if I had a good way to mitigate it, the performance and reliability would be better.
Would there be a way to set the computer up to run at a higher specification when plugged in/ using additional cooling? Sort of as an offset to a desktop.
