Any other Z4 users out there? I've been using this system for close to decade now and it's still great. However in recent months overall volume has noticeably decreased, headphone jack doesn't work, there's crackling when I adjust the volume knob and the knob itself feels like it's going to fall off.
What options are out there at the moment if I wanna replace this in a few months? I listen to a tonne of music. Do people that care about sound (but without the audiophile autism) still use 2.1 systems or bookshelf speakers?

My Z313's just died for no good reason after only 5 years.
Logitech is shit.
Subwoofers are useless for most people. Get a 2.0 system.
Bookshelf speakers + amp

What do you recommend?

Not OP but in my country it's not really possible unless you spend hundred of € on it. They only sell 140€ amps or more, and you don't have a lot of choice when it comes to speakers <100€.

You're missing everything from 100Hz down on any shitty 2.0 system

So don't buy a shitty 2.0 system. Anything decent does 60Hz well enough for most people.

where you @
My Logitech Z-2300 recently died (the speakers work, but the volume controller died which cuts sound out of one speaker). There's a item on eBay that fixes this, but it's cheap chinese shit that dies too much to make it worth it. It's a shame, those THX rated speakers are fucking amazing for the size.
I just pulled out my old Yamaha receiver and bought Pioneer SP-BS22-LR bookshelf speakers.

OP here - how does the sound compare? After some light research I like the idea of getting a mini amp and using some old bookshelf speakers I have stored away.

ayy im using a yamaha rx-v377 with the pioneers and a polk psw10 sub
