Why have Apple started its aggressive campaign on /g/? Things go bad?

What do you expect after the disaster that was the Trashcan Pro, the celeb iCloud hacks, too intelligant for headphone jacks, getting rid of USB A on the new macbook pros, shitty battery life, etc.
>>60908822
They can't break above their market share so they've started an ad propaganda and shill campaign to get android users to switch.
What are the best for nonrooted phones? I don't have e the time nor patience to look up and do that shit.
>>60909002
It's really easy and barely takes any time though.
>>60908876

botnet
>>60909110
Since chainfire sold supersu to chinks this is the better option.
>>60908861
ok guys serious talk. do we actually think shills come to this shithole to try and convince the few of us that aren't stubbornly sticking to our brands to switch?
>>60909233
It's really hard to believe Apple would come here of all places but it's definitely possible, all I know is that they're shills and they're annoying as fuck. Mods why won't you ban these fags? It doesn't make any sense for them to keep coming if it didn't work the first time, or the next ten thousand times

you are grossly underestimating the power of autism. just have a look at >>>/s4s/ sometime. as hard as it may be to accept, autism is the blood of this website and therefore inseperable.
>>60909106
How does it "run" better?
>>60910301
More battery-friendly, more user-friendly
I tried 5 different email apps and I still went back to Gmail. Maybe I'm just too used to it
>>60909042
i have an sm-g935t T-mobile locked the bootloader therefore no possible way to root

Minminguard is god tier. Adaway is just ok.
Adaway's lists are pretty shit nowadays. It was great back in 2010.

What's the point of AFWall+?
You can manage data usage from settings directly.
>>60909106
K-9 is pretty comfy senpai. Supports encryption, read receipts and what nots.
>>60910802
DNS66 just stops itself. Meanwhile adguard just werks.
>>60911312
>What's the point of AFWall+?
Restricting apps from accessing the Internet. All Android apps have network permission by default.
>>60911423
You can restrict right from settings.
>>60908793
K9 has been failing to receive push notifications for a while now for me so I'm always in the dark over emails. Might be something to do with the play services permissions I've disabled, I'm not sure.
>>60911466
Yes, but I use it in combination with Llama and openVPN so I can redirect traffic over VPN when not at home. Afwall can also block a lot more processes than apps only.

>he doesnt understand google services have root on your device
>he doesnt know that k9 can run without a backround framework and its foss
>he compares a turd and a diamond
>>60916956
I'd agree with you but I happen to be using Nougat so I have nothing to say.
>>60910454
>he isnt including the google serivices framework in his equations
>he them realizes k9 is a lot less bloated on storage and memory and cpu cycles than gmail+gappsframework
>>60917020
its in the works just hold out a bit longer
>>60917055
And if I hold out just a little more I'll be on whatever they'll call Android O.

I don't know. I disabled play services and play store, and yet I receive all my mail properly. And yes, I'm using gmail.
K9 doesn't depend on google services, nor would it need them to use a gmail. Your phone probably kills the K9 process or prevents background network/sync.
