taking it as (X,Y) are coordinates or top-left corner:

inner.X = Green.X
inner.Y = Red.Y
inner.H = Green.H - |Red.Y - Green.Y|
inner.W = Red.H - |Red.X - Green.X|

they are asking just for inner.H, which is also a value you need to subtract from Green.Y to make them not overlap
