Lmao, he wasn't pushed out of his own business. He never owned VK in the first place, he was only a shareholder and a public figure for the website.

In fact, he was an asshole shareholder who was constantly increasing his salary without approval from other shareholders. He was basically adding zeroes to his salary and ended up "making" more in a month than an average russian family can save up in years.

When other shareholders warned him that he is violating the company charter and they'll kick him out if he will continue, he said that he will leave the company on his own and everyone will regret that. Then he sold his share to mail.ru and left.

After some time he came back and wanted to buy his share back, but literally no one wanted the guy back and mail.ru refused to sell his share back to him, so he took all the money he "earned" and left the country because literally no one would ever hire him or do business with him.
