Fellow /g/urus, this is it, this summer I'm GONNA WRITE A FUCKING COMPILER!!
The idea is to make a lenguaje with all the "memes" for this board for the sintaxis.
So far i have thought of:
-'>' For comments
- t. <libs to include>
-mfw <condition>: as a switch statement
-implying for variable creation
So if any of you guys wanna add to it i am open to suggestions.
And yes it will be free as in FREEdom

How would you indicate something as being greater than?
>>60887923
oh wow something undergrad CS students do
wow
>>60887956
For the context, if > apeears without a condition statement preceding it or an assigment operation then it's a comment if not a biger then

Read about lexing and parsing. There's a lot of tools and knowledge out there that will save you a whole lot of trouble.

Already started with www (.) cs.man (.) ac (.) uk/~pjj/farrell/compmain.html
Any book would you recommend me?

I'm sorry anon, but from reading a random post I just doubt you will actually do this.
If you are really going to, that's great, and I would surely follow your project here.

dragon book is good from what I hear

Start with the grammar. Maybe even prototype in PLY
>>60887988
Why not use "gt" for greater than
just make a clone of an existing lang with meme syntax and a parser that converts regular syntax to meme syntax
Implement a Lisp. It's the easiest language for this.
