>using an extremely popular pirated iso of leopard
>still given updates through to and including 10.12.5 by logging in with my legit apple ID
I thought apple were supposed to be the bad guys? This has been going on for fucking years inside my VM.
Why would you update? Leopard was peak OSX. The Windows 7 of OSX.
>I thought apple were supposed to be the bad guys?
You got memed hard friend. Apple is extremely pirate friendly. My cracked version of FCPX even gets app store updates.

>implying windows 7 was the peak of windows
10 brings many legitimate performance improvements and is measurably faster than 7 in pretty much every metric, even on older machines.

That or they dont't care about the few thousand people using pirated OS X.

They don't give a fuck about people pirating their software, they make enough money selling overpriced hardware

Since you're on a VM, I'd be curious to see if you could install 10.0.x on a PPC VM, then upgrade through to Leopard, switch the VM to Intel, then go to 10.12.x.

I think that they are not against Hackintosh because it encourages people to buy Apple. I know several people who started from Hackintosh and now they are complete Mac faggots.
Apple sells hardware not software, they don't care about using hackintosh as long as you don't make a business with it.

Oh I sure do like it when I've been trying to download the bitcoin blockchain for the last hour but Microsoft Compatibility Telemetry (disabled) has been using 100% of the disk the whole time so that it can scan my entire filesystem for items of interest and report them to Microsoft.
