Also its single thread advantage is meaningless because in large core multithreaded workloads Ryzen almost matches it core for core.

For the use case which is datatcenters or large workstations Intel cant play this game and win their architectures to stale and too inneficient.

AMD can scale 90+% efficiently with infinity fabric they dont have to make a huge 18-core die they just need to make 2, 3, 4 8core dies and ruse them into a package.

Also the new socket AMD made can fit up to 32cores and 64 threads and it would be dick simple for them to drop that SKU later on.

The 18 core chip Intel is now forced to sell for 1750$ was selling for over 9000$ as a Zeon part before this threadripper announcement.

Rememer stock prices are based on expected earnings and intel was making these kinds of monopoly profits for years and now even though they will still make money the money will be WAY less than usual per quarter which means stock value is gonna drop like a rock.
