Got the exact same one OP, got it from my brother. I put on it debian+xfce, it works well.
I mean, don't expect anything crazy ; it's slow for youtube and streaming sites, but works fine for browsing 4chan. Facebook, twitter, ect, are a bit slow due to the monstreous size of the pages, but it's ok.
I mainly use it for reading pdf, writing LaTeX, and remplying to mail ; it get the job done so that's enoigh for me.
VLC does work if alone, so it's ok for movies or porn.
