is image persistence the sign of a fucked monitor? or did I spend too long on the same program? it's only in the top left corner
If it's an IPS panel made by LG, they all do that.

More of a sign of a bad/poor quality panel than anything else

It's most noticeable when you look at black text on white for a few minutes and then switch to a dark grey background. It does go away after a while of moving images on that part of the screen. Apple got sued over this with the 2012 MacBooks but no one else really cared.
