Honestly Nvidia drivers are worse than AMD's, however most games are only using one or two cores, so Nvidia was more flexible scheduler, while it's far more inefficient than AMD is able use resources that you otherwise wouldn't be using to boost game performance. AMD requires more power to get the same performances Nvidia cards do, this is largely down to how the schedulers work. AMD has saturation problems due to shitty developers, Nvidia's scheduler can force multithreading because shitty developers can't fucking do that.
