can somebody spoonfeed me on modern display technology
why is there such a gap between 4k 60hz@ 4:4:4 and 4k 60hz + HDR? Isn't the HDR color spectrum higher bandwidth than standard color spectrum at 4:4:4? How do you even get HDR colors with 4:2:2 compression? Can game mode not be enabled with 4:4:4? Why the fuck not?
this information is based on the Samsung KS8000 UHD television, supposedly one of the lowest input lag televisions out there
I'm just confused; I don't have lot's of HDR content to play on it (at the moment) but I can't fathom how HDR content would have a lower input rate than standard color specturm content without compression
