Blender does not compete with Zbrush even remotely, Gimp is an abomination that should be killed with fire.
Modo _can_ compete with Zbrush but requires a "stronk a/f" graphics card and doesn't have any of the quick sketch features/niceties.
Krita is turning out nicely, If it wasn't for it, there would be just no fucking painting on Linux.

"graphics design/er" Is usually a tell because they cant really use the term artist, unless they're some hipster or stay at home mom with some unused oil-paints in the attic.

I get where you were coming from, I'm just still FUCKING salty from all the times people tried to push Blender/gimp as alternatives.
Allot of us who just want to work on an OS that doesn't fuckup every 5 minutes (Windows) but cant switch due to workflows/ actual usability.

When we say "here's what I need" you get "Nah this is what you need" and we just stay on windows.
It would be like If I started telling programmers what text editor/IDE they should be using.
