p.s ricing is car lingo for customizing it. probably originated around the midnight race scene in Asia and people modifying their cars to look interesting e.g. neon lights, spoilers, etc. ricing in tech terms is changing window borders, fonts, colour schemes, etc.

It's not bloated. It's functional. Although it crashes more than any DE I've used and doesn't make a "useful crash log".

It's not 2014. anymore. One option that could cause Plasma to crash is the experimental setting option under compositor settings. Try turning those off. Proprietary GPU drivers could cause any DE to crash and that's not KDE related really.

No, ricing is putting a spoiler and green decal on your prius. It's stupid, a waste of time, and you gain virtually nothing for it. I BELIEVE you meant tuning.

No. I used default settings for everything. It crashed at least once every 3-4 days. There were 2 types of crashes;
1. The UI freezes for a second, then starts behaving normally and a bug report window opens saying it didn't collect any relevant data relating to the crash. This isn't as annoying honestly. It didn't bother me much.
2. The UI completely gets fucked up, most window functionality gets removed making software almost unusable and all window titlebars disappear. It required a reboot to get working properly. This was fucking annoying.
I know it's not 2014, it happened on Plasma. As I've said, I used KDE Neon. It was only a month ago.
