I've checked the manufacturer's site for my laptop model, but they don't have drivers for Windows 7. Plus, the last time I tried Windows 7 on my laptop, my vidya doesn't work well with it.

Despite what everyone says, 8.1 is fine, just get Start8 and use it to disable the metro crap (couple checkboxes for the charms and start screen), and it's basically an updated 7. Much easier than trying to clean up 10: >>60802003

are you using a gl552vw by an chance? I do, and both 8.1 and 10 run fine. However, I found a way to install 7, but right now nothing works. No touchpad, no mouse...obänly the keyboard. I'm looking into fixing it though.
