macOS just feels better to use than Linux or Windows. Out of the box it has a perfectly integrated touchpad functionality, and little bells and whistles like being able to preview files is something I'd hate to have to live without at this point. Windows is good in its own right and nothing can match the versatility of Linux but macOS is just a pure joy to use.

Also the build quality is top notch. My rMBP is 3 years old and frankly has been abused more than $1300 computer should be and it it's still fucking beautiful. Nothing's falling apart, the screen isn't loose or acting up. It still works as beautifully as the day I pulled it out of the box, maybe even better. I want to say I never want to have a non-Mac laptop again but looking at the direction Apple is going with the Macbooks gives me pause. The 2016 mbp is a disgrace.
