If you're going to get a tablet, it should definitely be an iPad.

But think carefully about how often you'll use it. I got an Air 2 mainly for my app dev work, and although it's very sleek and fun to use, I would have seriously struggled to justify buying it for personal use. There's definitely a space for devices larger than my phone and smaller than my computer, but for me, that space is quite small.

It would be worth it if you fly a lot or commute by public transport, I think. Or if you have the money to burn and want a sofa web browsing machine, go for it.

To clarify, it's a 100% consumption device. You can't get any kind of work done on this thing. Even for taking notes it would be pretty shit.

I use mine all the time for shitposting, reading manga and YouTube and shit, but you can do the same on cheaper devices. iOS11 has improved user experience a fair bit though.
