Which just sounds like a virus. Terrible! Oh, but I also use a custom ROM I compile and modify myself, but that's just because I'm not a tech-illiterate. My phone still gets OEM updates four years counting.

I'll post against the grain here and just say that this is at least a step towards ios even being a consideration for me. They've still got a ways to go, and Apple has their heads up their asses nowadays, but maybe someday they'll hit it.

What do you mean what task? I just compile my phone's OS personally so that I don't have to rely on the original developer's release dates. I update my phone when I want to, and when I do, it's the latest and greatest! I also have a home server dedicated to compiling so I might as well use it instead of let it sit.
