While i agree this is cringey, the point they make is true, over the last few decades, manufacturers have been pushing more and more shity components on mainstream laptops to markup the price of decent ones, take for example current keyboards, touchpads, hinges, chassis and I/O.

I have a very old lenovo low end laptop, it came with a dual core and vista but still the keyboard was decent, the hinges where freaking huge and the touchpad was usable, yesterday i got a new low end lenovo laptop for repair and it was horrible the hinges were very thin and they broke that's the reason i was repairing it.

So if you ask how they were able to sell this laptop, is simple everyone else is doing so unless you pay premium you're stuck with it. Then comes apple who manages to sell shit laptops at premium price because "It's hip".

Because you don't become rich selling tools. Anyone can sell a tool. You become rich selling a lifestyle and an identity. Even if it's bullshit, it works.
