THANK YOU BASED GDDR6
AYYMD IS FINISHED & BANKRUPT
AYYMDPOORFAGS CONFIRMED ON SUICIDE WATCH

>AMD already can put HBM on consumer devices
What did you mean by this post? In time ALL gpus will move to HBM you do know this right?
>>60736845
>"early" 2018
JustWait another 9 months
>>60736845
>no substantial increase in bandwidth
>same drive voltage
>only higher density
This is just poorly thought out

The standard for HBM itself is only a stopgap, AMD themselves don't expect to use it for too long. It'll be replaced with some other wide IO standard.

Why is AMD finished?
They'll use GDDR6 for the RX600 or RX700 series.
This is not Nvidia proprietary tech.
You should really think what you post before you post, 4 HBM2 stacks are still faster, use less power and die size, not to mention PCB size, they're more expensive, but that's obvious since it's premium tech.
GDDR6 will likely not end up in cards before late Q1 2018

Wow, it's still ages behind any TSV memory in everything but cost. It's time for GDDR to finally die.
AYYMD made a poor bet on HBM
