Anyone here familiar with GIMP? I made the canvas on My document larger, and the extra space is now transparent. I have no idea how to fill it in. It seems like a pretty simple process.

I'm assuming you want to fill it in with a plain color.
Make a new layer, drag it to be bottom layer, select paint bucket tool, select color, dump color on layer, merge other shit down on top of it.

or alternatively when you make a new layer you can just select the white or foreground or background color option.

Gimp doesnt know wtf to do when you increase the canvas size, but as far as I know this has been the cleanest option for me.
