Why aren't you operating your own LTE cellular network with LimeSDR?
You could cover an entire block with just one of these and use free LTE around your neighborhood.
Wouldn't the FCC fuck your shit up, like they do to pirate radio stations

You can deploy on 900 MHz unlicensed band. Higher-end phones with European LTE band support will be able to connect.
Free? I may do this. How would this device connect to other networks?

That's exactly what I'm dreaming about everyday, to operating a cellular LTE network with LimeSDR.
Seems like the device that would get cell network spoofing fixed.
How would a device connect to it? Wouldn't you need some kind of SIM card? It's not like you can just open a menu and pick an LTE network like fucking WiFi.

Actually you can pick an LTE network like that; look in your phones settings

as long as your phone isnt a botnet "sim card required" thing, you can connect to it, you'll still see the phone's IMEI
A network connects one thing to other things.
How does this provide "free" LTE? Wouldn't it need to connect to a "not free" LTE network or via an ethernet cable to "not free" internet (if VOIP-based)?
I can totally get other cellular devices communicating to other cellular devices in range of the LimeSDR device, but you'll need more than that to connect to the content and services that people want out of their phones (YouTube, and the like).

Oh shit. So this menu will show all the LTE networks that are available that my phone's antenna can connect too? Will it show networks that require a SIM?

Just steal your neighbors wifi with fern duh
