Ryzen's IPC is within 5% of Kaby Lake, and the only real difference is clockspeed. i7-7700K gains about 25% more single core performance. It's not even that far off. Zen cores are not Bulldozer cores. i5's are pretty much toast. Locked i7's as well. i3's were obsolete by the poorfag pentium. Intel's HEDT garbage BTFO by the 1700, 1800X and Threadripper.

Why is there some sort of competition between the users of Intel and AMD products? Why does it matter to the user; just pick the one you think works best for you.
