Why the fuck doesn't /g/ use Julia?

because /g/ isn't smart enough to have a need for scientific computing.

A bold contradiction.
>>60664671
someone just needs to write a web framework for Julia

It's so hard to listen to people talk about OOP.
I tried once the suggested Image manipulation library.
It was a clusterfuck, never tried it again.
Because I use R.

arrays start at 1

Because you still need to know other languages, which combined can cover most julia use cases.
From the little I have seen, it seems a good language but matured just too slowly to be ground breaking.

Someone needs to invent a greetext that can be pasted into every one of these fucking theads.
If you like a language so much:
-Build something in it
-Make the code publicly available so that others can see the merits of the language
I miss the old days when people learned stuff to build shit, instead its some sort of marketing game now where everyone virtue signals via whatever language is flavor of the month.

I can't remember anymore, but it had a bunch of problems. Lots of accuracy issues. It's psi functions and the like were bad too, especially for complex psifn. Couldn't get good arbitrary precision aritmetics. I spent a while testing it and it just wasn't up to par for any high-accuracy scientific purposes (QSD for example).

I remember when Python first started out, it was more of an academic thing.
