My phones are always about price:performance.
I don't need a 6 core CPU inside the phone because that's why I've got a high performance desktop computer. All I want out of it is normiebook, whatsapp, light internet browsing, music and calls/texts.

A jailbroken iPhone is vulnerable to attack by definition. If you install security updates, you lose your jailbreak.

A rooted Android phone is no more vulnerable to attack than a non-rooted Android phone. You can flash newer versions of a ROM that still maintain their root access, but which are more secure. Furthermore, it does not take a security vulnerability to root the phone. You just have to change a setting, and then boot into fastboot to flash a custom recovery, and from there flash your ROM from the recovery.

In my experience, it's kind of inferior to Android's implementation. I find the copy-paste lasso is way too eager to turn into a box and cover the entire....box, even when that's not what I wanted. Also, sometimes in certain webpages it leads to strange issues like sides of the box completely disappearing into nothingness because it's confused about the boundaries I actually want.

Yes it is. I'm setting up one of the company's 5S's right now, and I took the chance to have my 250€ android side by side, testing a couple of the basic software. The only difference I'm finding is the position of certain buttons, everything else works pretty much in the same way. Same speed, same camera quality (surprised me actually), similar ui's, etc.

So yes, it's easy to change from any of the OS's to the other. The question is why would you even need to change?
