Indian people do have a specific sort of smell , but it's due usually to diet and cooking method. Large amounts of strong spices are consumed and those spices come out in sweat . If the person does not practice hygiene efficiently this smell becomes "that smell" . I'm pretty sure every race smells differently but those that eat very spiced foods are more noticeable.
