I have to agree with you on this book. It feels a bit like when you meet someone who travels the world telling you how life changing the experience was, but when they get home they go right back to their shitty normal lives.
This book feels like the hackernews equivalent of that. Most people would benefit more from reading advanced books in the language they work in, as well as software design books.
