Is anyone using Docker on GNU/Linux, having previously used it on OS X? I am considering switching to GNU/Linux for my development environment, and I feel the biggest gains will be in Docker performance.
Is it quicker?

Bump for interest

No it's probably slower. Everything is on Linux.

Not sure, but I use it on my server running Ubuntu Server and it's pretty quick.
Haven't used other kinds of virtual machines on it though, so maybe not.
It's incredibly convenient though.

Yeah, haha. People seriously think opengl is an ok api. DirectX smashes it everytime
For development, to be clear. So docker-compose basically.

What in hell are you doing that a lowest-end Macbook with 4GB of RAM and a 2,6GHz i5 is not enough for docker?!
It's quick enough on my Windows machine and macbook air. I'm just running scipy and tensorflow stuff though, no persistent web stacks.
