Hello /g/entlemen, I am looking for a fully functional mini PC for my TV to replace my Chromecast. I looked at Android TV boxes but I don't think they are quite what I was looking for. I plan on installing Ubuntu and then using it for streaming shows inline as well as various other tasks. Any recommendations in particular?

Cheapest ones are x5-z8300 with 2 GB RAM. From there you can move up to Y series CPUs but expect to pay a lot more.

It's well suited for that task but an android box may make more sense if you already know what applications you wish to run.
I use mobdro and kodi primarily using android but find I still use a PC too for hitting streaming websites which I find it better suited for.
