THANK YOU BASED INTEL
Are these any better than the previous ones, or is it just the same shit in a new package?

Apollo Lake quad cores are comparable to Core 2 Quads on like 10 watts, so expect a bit better on the same TDP.
>atom
Lmao for anything that's not a router/mailserver

>comparable to Core 2 Quads
So... borderline unusable for modern websites and UHD video?
>>60592696
Are you retarded or what?
Apollo Lake & Gemini Lake have 8K HEVC Main10 hardware decoding
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fHa10EbyKTk
Core CPU wouldn't even be able to handle HEVC Main10 unless it has hardware decoding

>UHD video
That's all done by the video decoding block you nigger
>Goldmont+
This I'd worse than AMD and the Puma+ cores, will Intel ever release something new? They been rehashing Silvermont since 2013

Are you retarded or what?
Puma is slower than Goldmont let alone Goldmont Plus

This trash will always be trash for one simple reason. Every laptop or chromebook or tablet that ships with an Atom processor is stuck with dog slow shit eMMC storage. As long as that is the case, it will not matter what jewtel does, the shit will remain slow trash. I have a Windows 10 2-in-1 that I bought thinking it would be great but collects dust for this exact reason.

Goldmont is a new arch lol
