Hello, /g/. I live in a third world country and I'm really in need for a decent processor for gaming, since I'm on a budget.
Which one should I pick? Keep in mind, the difference in price between these two where I live is more than 300 bucks. So I'd like to know if it's worth it to spend so much more to get a 6400.

I would go with the 2500 because ddr3 is cheaper than ddr4
Also z170 mobos are way more extensive in my third world

Get a g4560

Non k crylake can oc with ASRock , no?
If yes I'd pick Skylake+z170. Also you never mentioned what games you plan to play. Mentioning what you plan to play would allow people to be more helpful.

I'm a weeb, so CPU heavy games, since almost all jap pc ports are cpu intensive, like Akiba's Trip, Senran Kagura, etc.
Stating intended software could open up more possibilities. Maybe you don't need an intel, and could get by with amd, or maybe you can get by with an old intel. No one can say for sure, because you didn't share what you wanted to play, or use.

I'd go for the 6400 then paired with a board that can oc non k CPUs. My honest opinion for you right now.

ASRock hyper bclk engine can do this. Also an e3-12xx v5 / ASRock e3v5 c232 Mobo combo can overclock, and might be cheaper at times, so look for that options Anon.

Have you priced a mobo for the 2500 yet?

non-k CPUs can't be overclocked.
