Does any of you use the fingerprint scanner in a Xiaomi phone? Are there any significant risks to user's privacy? Do I have to also be afraid of accidentally touching it even if I don't configure it as an authorisation method?

If you're worried about privacy, you should just not use a smartphone.

>trusting chinkshit
>giving them your fingerprints
kek'd.
are you retarded?

I use scanner on my Zuk. Obviously it's a risk to privacy, but no less than using pocket botnet.

Unfortunately I'm slowly getting a life, so it's difficult not to. I used to only have some old Windows Phone that'd stay in my drawer all the time and I'd only charge it and take it with myself like twice a month or something. However I need a phone more and more and carrying my Parabola GNU/Linux (I do actually use it lol) laptop everywhere is rather uncomfortable.

That doesn't answer my question. What are the particular risks? How the Chinese governement or whatever can use my fingerprints for?
>>60541264
Mhm, good point honestly. If I decide to share my current location with them 24/7 and let them turn the microphone and camera whenever they want, the fingerprint concern seems to lack any sense.

identity theft, you fool

I use a European passport which is easily hacked from a distance and contains my fingerprints, face shape, personal ID numbers etc. The Chinese probably already have my fingerprint.

So what? Is a big ass company such as Xiaomi going to use my identity to steal my money or what?

Eurpoor here.
Would rather give my fingerprint to Chinese than Americans.

>not using your dickprint scanner instead
