is it worth formatting /data/ and /cache/ to f2fs?
i've decided to flash a nougat rom since google dropped support for the nexus 5, and i was wondering if it's worth the hassle.
i gotta flash euclidean rom with the blu sparks kernel btw
ITT we act like we are on XDA developers.

Its not a meme... it makes the diference betwen a usable old phone/tablet (pre 2014) to a complete freezing piece of shit...

Triggered iCucks.

It's probably not worth it for an N5, but it's not going hurt anything.
Custom kernels are a meme 99/100 times though.

Throw that phone in the garbage where it belongs
The Android devs said it's only good as a placebo.

Do you still get security updates on whatever rom you're running now? If so just stick with that.
If not... well enjoy the clusterfuck that is custom roms on XDA these days. Go for something very popular and thus well supported.
While you're at it do something interesting and mod the battery bay to fit a G2 battery. N5 battery was horseshit.

This
Only use xda roms to bring new life to an old device. I have nougat installed on an old galaxy s2 skyrocket that i literally only use for dashchan and an alarm clock
Pretty comfy though and runs surprisingly well. It doesnt have enough ram though for much else

>clusterfuck
Because it's so hard to let LineageOS auto-update.
