Did we got a date for the official release?

Should I wait for the official release or go with unofficial lineageOs and update when it out? Any know issues with the unofficial build?

So I accidentally flashed an H815 rom to my phone because for a good few hours I was on autopilot (My last G4 was the H815 version, but I spaced and forgot they sent me an H811)

When I figured this out I figured "alright no big deal I'll just go to an H811 rom." Tried it, wasn't working. Figured it was borked, so decided to go back to the rom I was using before.

EXCEPT I don't have mobile data on this one either. And everything was crashing the moment it happened

OP3T has better software support as it is the ' new' nexus line up.

It's easier to repair and find new parts for.
It has better battery life with 3400 mAh + 1080P over the axons 3000 mAh 1440P display.

The axon is only better in the sound department with its stereo front facing speakers and has a better DAC.

If you value media watching then the Axon is better.

PERHAPS. Everybody is going to be an epic rusermaster I guess. Here's the thing - they have a bootloop problem. After using it for about 8 months (I got literally one year out of it. Died on the same date kek), it will just suddenly die on you. No way to recover your data, and in my case I couldn't even boot to a recovery.

But allegedly, the ones most hit by this are ones with a s/n starting with 50x and going all the way to 511/601. The 6 means it was manufactured in 2016. There aren't a lot of reports of the 2016 revisions bootlooping in a similar manner. The one they replaced mine with was a brand new 611 (So November of 2016), and it's still alright.

If somebody offers you a GREAT deal on a 2016 variant, I think it's still a good phone if you need something to get you to the next cycle at the least. I honestly love mine, it's a great phone. It just sucks that it is a ticking timebomb. But the camera is great, the battery life is good, the build quality is awesome, and the screen is nice. I think you can snag one for under 100. You can probably find "safer" options though

Just to drive home the point though - don't even bother with any with a s/n starting with a 5 unless it's the price of a fucking sandwich. It WILL fail on you. It's not a question of if, it is "when" and considering most have been used it would probably fail on you in a week.

It's a toss up for the newer models - could just be that nobody has had them fail because they haven't had time.

It's missing the important ones, especially for AT&T (Band 17 mainly). You won't have good LTE coverage. You'd might have better coverage on T-Mobile or one of its MVNO's as they use Band 4 as the main LTE band. Also check ZUK Z2 out if you want something that's similar size but more powerful than the 4X.

Recently replaced my stolen HTC 10 with the cheapest phone I could get in a store, the g4 play. It does everything I ever used the HTC for. Occasional YouTube, podcasts, music, maps, WhatsApp and sometimes a bunch of snapshots. There's no lag when using android 6 and it has an SD slot and removable battery. The camera is the only thing that lets it down.

I seriously don't know why I had a flagship. Yes it was nice but my current phone does exactly the same thing with almost no detectable difference. Tell me /g/, apart from a few " power users" and the particularly image conscious, do any of us actually need extremely expensive phones?

If your primary concern is long term support than you should get the OP3T. Easier to unlock the bootloader, will be getting lineageOS and other custom ROMs for a very long time after One plus drops support. It is newer so it will in all likelihood get OTA updates for longer. Pretty sure it has a bigger battery and lower resolution means it takes less battery.

I've never had an Axon 7 but if the speakers and SD card slot are important to you then you should probably get that one.

I like to have my phones for as long as possible. I'm currently using my 4 year old galaxy s4 and if I hadn't destroyed the screen, I would continue to use it. The longevity of the op3t would be nice, especially custom rom support.

The Mi Mix is easily sexier than this phone
>>
>>60536978
really? with that ugly bump and huge logo?
>>
Let's say I get a LeEco Le Max 2 from Aliexpress (I live in France).
Will it be immediately usable? Will I just put my SIM into it and it will immediately work just fine like if I bought it anywhere else?
>>
>>60537315
Yes. You might need to change the APN settings to get data but other than that it's good to go straight from the box. Make sure you get the X820 version for B20.
>>
>>60537315
as long as the bandwidths from your service provider are compatible with the phone, yeah
>>
>>60537406
>for B20
What's that?
>>60537440
How do I know that?

Thank you guys by the way.
The OP should really need a guide or some kind of FAQ
>>
>>60537478
same way you know everything
google
>>
>>60537510
Well apparently there was link in the OP for that
>>
>>60537478
Band 20 = 800mhz, one of the frequency bands that's commonly used for LTE in European countries including France. There is two versions of the LeEco Le Max 2, X829 and X820, and only X820 has B20.
>>
>>60537530
Ok thank you very much.

What are some workarounds for talking on the 100 minute 5Gb T-Mobile plan?

Are there any VOIP services I can have my number forwarded through to avoid using minutes?

APPLE WINS AGAIN
>>
I just bought a Nexus 6 for $200 refurbished. Did I do good, /g/?
>>
Just got a ZTE Axon 7 for cheap. Had to jump through a few hoops and hit a few bumps, but I got TWRP and RR on it.

So far I'm loving it, but what do I do about screen protection? Front what I've seen, every tempered glass screen protector is pretty shit.

Can anyone recommend anything? I get nervous about my screen bordering on obsessive compulsive when there's no protection.
>>
>hate apple and ios
>only alternative is google
>>
God, the phone market is such a mess.
Looking to upgrade from my s4, and nothing is giving me a hard-on, especially with limited options thanks to my shitty carrier. All of the accessible phone are bloated shit like scamsung and the good shit is underpowered and only works on a few american carriers like Googleshit.

And it's going to be like this forever, isn't it?
>>
>>60537897
They're all shit but they'll protect the screen, just get one if you don't want to jump through hoops with their coverage /warranty plan
>>
>>60537975
I guess I'll just have to suck it up. I got it used but in really good condition for $295, so I doubt there's a warranty.
>>
>>60537992
If you got it off swappa, check with the seller to see if he registered it
>>
>>60538004
EBay.
>>
>>60538017
Shit, still message the seller and ask, especially if it's a user and not a "shop"

Would like some help here on purchasing a new phone a few months from now, thanks

Canada/Van

freedom mobile (gsm?)

i dont really know what i want? nice battery, gonna try rooting (ive only jailbroken ios before), big memory?

budget should be from $300-700 CAD (maybe willing to spend more, would prefer not to buy high end tho unless theres a good reason)

size can be anything from iphone 5s small to nexus 6p sized i guess
>>
Is the LG G5 any good? I had the G4 and battery life sucked pretty hard. I sold it, got a used iphone 6 from a friend and replaced the battery so it lasts me all day. But I find I miss the bigger screen and android sometimes.
Is the G5 battery life better than G4 or should I just stick with the iphone 6?

Maybe the MoKee version for the ZTE RedBull V5? It seems they have the same CPU...
>>
S7 Active 32GB $270
Moto G5 Plus 64GB $250
ZTE Axon 7 64GB $270
Le Max 2 128GB $200

Which do I go for? Would prefer bigger screen and custom ROM support.
>>
>>60538892
S7
>>
>>60538892
There is also a Nexus 6 for $230. Not sure if that phone is still good.

Hello,

Is there any way to Sync Bookmarks between Firefox on Android to Chrome on PC?

A friend of mine needs help and EverSync fails
>>
>>60538892
Axon 7
>>
>>60538943
Axon 7 looks pretty good. Pretty much the same specs as the S7 Active, but the whole bootloader unlocking process seems pretty jumbled. Potentially less accessories compared to the S7 too.
>>
>>60539219
>nowhere near as bad as trying to unlock the S7
>actually has ROMs and LineageOS support
>accessories
>...
Are you a 13 year old girl? Sounds like you need a training bra to be honest
>>
>>60539255
I actually didn't check the S7 custom support yet. Is it really that bad?

No? Just from what I've seen so far, you need to be on MM or at least downgrade to a specific version, then multiple sets of steps to set it all up. Not exactly hard, but I've had a few devices that *should* have been easy, but ended up impossible to unlock. Just a bit apprehensive.

Plus, who the heck doesn't want to protect a device worth a few hundred, that can easily drop, get wet, get scratched, etc. I certainly don't have hundreds to throw around.
>>
>>60539313
Next time be specific about accessories, but the Axon 7 has cases available and glass screen protectors as well, and the Axon isn't hard at all to unlock just check out XDA on that
>>
>>60539341
Not sure if you have the device, but any idea if there is anything that stops me from unlocking the Axon 7? Like a certain update/firmware I can't downgrade from or something.
>>
>>60539424
I don't have it, but other anons do
