Help me buy a monitor /g/. I really can't decide what's more important for me and what's best bang for buck. I think my biggest preference would be to have 1440p and freesync, but higher framerate is also up there on the wishlist, but I still don't feel like giving too much for a specific feature. Narrowed it down to:

>ViewSonic XG2401 - 300 eur
24' 144hz 1ms 1080p TN freesync

>Dell U2515H - 300 eur
25' 60hz 8ms 1440p IPS

>Asus PB278QR - 430 eur
27' 60hz 5ms 1440p IPS

Dell U2715H - 447 eur
27' 60hz 8ms 1440p IPS

>Acer XG270HU - 470 eur
27' 144hz 1ms 1440p TN freesync

>Acer XF270HUA - 517 eur
27' 144hz 4ms 1440p IPS freesync
>>
>>60461986
are any of these 16:10 ratio?
>>
>>60462173
No, all 16:9, 2560x1440p except for the first one which is 1920x1080. General use: 50% gaming, 50% watching bluray movies.
>>
>>60461986
>27 60 5 1440p IPS
Literally specs of my surrent monitor. Pick that one.
>>
>>60461986
Remove the XG2401 and XG270HU. TN is not going to be fun, especially if you are watching movies.
>>
>>60461986
Take a look at BenQ BL2420PT, it's 1440p,60Hz.24",5ms,IPS for very cheap considering your choices so far
>>
>24' 144hz 1ms 1080p TN freesync - 300 eur
this one for gaming, and save up another ~300 yurop dollars for a nice big HDTV to watch movies on.
>>
what graphics card do you have? keep in mind that the higher the resolution and framerate, the more you'll have to spend on graphics cards unless you only play old games.

also the difference between 60hz and 144hz is much more noticeable than the difference between 1080p and 1440p. definitely get a 144hz monitor for gaming.

I am aware of performance issues, but I know for a fact it's better to have the game at higher resolution and lower settings than the other way around. Especially with IPS. Also no AA needed.

Why not get this one OP?

holy trips. do you own that one? would it stretch the image or cause screen door effect because of 32 inches on 1440p?
>>
>>60464136
I just ordered a samsung 144hz 24 inch 1080p monitor for $200 on sale, I WISH I got this one.

I would not stretch the image at 1440p it would look great. I can't say the same for 1080p though.

What is a screen door effect?

Never this exaggerated, but even when it's a tiny bit noticeable it's absolutely atrocious

I just read like 20 reviews on the HP OMEN 32 and the only downside anybody says is that y ou have to sit like 1 meter/3 feet away from it because it's so large.
How have I never heard about this display before, I've been browsing for 3 days looking for the perfect one?
>>
>>60464740
Well don't feel bad, I noticed it right after I ordered this monitor: http://www.samsung.com/us/computing/monitors/curved/lc24fg70fqnxza-lc24fg70fqnxza/

The only definitive downside I can see to the Omen 32 is the response time and possible input lag if it has any.

Response time is 5ms, I have been on a TN 1ms at 60hz for a long time now, do you think I will notice the difference?

There was a sale on ebay for these omen displays and I think I lost my chance.
>>
>>60464974
Unless you're playing CSGO or mobashit to save your life, no.
>>
>>60465215
I actually do play csgo at times, but I like to play bf4 the most.
>>
>>60461986
>27' 144hz 4ms 1440p IPS freesync

These are the only acceptable specs.

I have the Acer IPS with thin bezels, freesync version. It's great. no dead pixels and no noticeable backlight bleed (very slightly in the bottom right corner). Asus and Acer use the same panels, but the acer one has a higher freesync range.

That's fucking huge.
>>
27 in, 60hz 1440p IPS should be fine for you unless you're life depends on getting global elite in CSGO, in which case, go for 144hz.
If you don't play fast paced (((video games))) competitively, higher refresh probably won't benefit you.
>>
>>60461986
every monitor is basically identical. don't give in to the meme.

Dell has the best warranty but you'll pay more for it. Their monitors also tend to score well on input lag if you're a hardcore gamer.

What you want is a 30"+ 4K HDR monitor with gsync (or freesync you pleb).

Anything else is just uncivilized trash and obsolete.
>>
>>60467444
enjoy your shit input lag, pixel transition time with your new omen monitor :)

you could have gone with the samsung
C24FG70FQU but no you didn't
>>
>>60468799
What do you mean by pixel transition time?
>>
>>60469113
prad.de just recently tested this monitor and even though it is marketed to gamers, the va panel has really bad pixel transition times and input latency in comparison with 75ips panels which are not marketed to gamers
>>
>>60461986
