I don't actually know anyone who buys video game consoles anymore.

It's strange because it wasn't uncommon to see a PS2 or N64 in someone's living room over a decade ago but now the only people I see playing actual games are on handhelds or PC.

I'm looking into getting a xbone so I mean I'm fine with Scorpio but I'm not the kind of person that gets too drunk on upping my standards. I want a 1060 for my pc but my 750ti has treated me just fine and I don't know when I'll be able to afford the upgrade since I really want the xbone for various reasons

in a decade if your console's HDD dies, what do you do? what if there's a patch you need but you can't connect online with the ancient console anymore?

The PS4 Pro is their preemptive response to Scorpio. They're betting most people won't notice the difference between upscaled and 'true' 4K from typical viewing distances. Instead, they're betting color differences from HDR setups will be more noticeable, which is why both the PS4 and PS4 Pro support it. If they're right, they're already ahead of Microsoft. If they're wrong, they'll probably have to start pumping out modular / tiered consoles at higher frequencies.

In general, consoles are worse than they were a few years ago and not because of graphic. This is a pc era. We don't have good couch games bc people just need fucking network games with trade and chests shit. I think only Nintendo do it well with its switch. Only nintendo stayed in real console game. It is sad, i miss playing eg. halo 3 on screen screen divided into four :/
