I don't use a mouse that often.
If you want a good 3d controller, take a look at the davinci robot controller.
Obviously it is huge and I am not suggesting you should sit in one I stead of infront of a computer, but damn those are sweet and smooth to control.

I actually have a space ball 2003c and a regular 2003 in storage, lemme tell ya, pain in the fuckin ass compared to just CLI
They're really only that good for viewing things, a ball is a great thing to use to move around an object, it is really bad for 2d cursor movement to actually draw
Don't even get me started on using these fuckers in 2d drafting, I've literally used a track point on DESI-III and that was easier than the handheld testes

Oddly enough, flight sims are great with one
Ill have to dig em out next week when I go to my storage unit

I don't have the sexy black IBM one like pic attached, if I did my thinkpad 380ed would never be free of the space balls
