I run a 5820K OC and its clearly the 1070 that holds me back. i5s are always sufficient for 60 Hz gaming.

It's definitely worth it. Didn't you know that Intel intentionally limits what the processors can do? you have to stay with the most current or they will make your processor bottleneck every other component
