What the hell do you need mechanical mirror for? Even if you are heavy viewfinder user, why not use digital one? You are nigger.

Get any camera in DSC-RX100 series, newer is better and more expensive.

Nikon D3400
https://www.amazon.com/Nikon-D3400-NIKKOR-18-55mm-3-5-5-6G/dp/B01KITZKDE/

Nikon has used the same F-Mount since the 70s so you attach all of their lenses since then (with varying caveats - crop sensor will add optical zoom, no autofocus, no lightmeter readings)

If you're just starting out it's much better to get a high quality fixed lens compact. Entry level DSLRs are crappy, their kit lenses soft and breadth of functionality limited. What makes low end DSLRs cheap is normally their tiny viewfinders - electronic viewfinders are much better than low magnification optical ones.

Get something along the lines of a Fuji X100, Sony RX100 (like >>60431388 suggests) Ricoh GR and so on. These will all fit in jacket pockets, the Sony and Ricoh will fit in your jeans pocket, and they all have equal or better equivalent apertures to APS-C DSLR kit lenses - no point in wasting the extra money just to switch lenses which won't be in your price range anyway.

The cheapest sense making DSLRs are the Canon 80D, Canon 6D, Nikon D3400 used. These actually accomplish the DSLR feature set well, but it's pointless because you're unlikely to use this feature set anyway.

The D3400 is only compatible with AF-S lenses. It doesn't have an AI tab on it either so you can't meter with some of the older lenses. Get a D7X00 if you want metering and autofocus on old lenses.
>>
Sony A6000, or the Sony RX100 if you don't need to have lenses that can zoom long distances

Depends how much Video and Size is important to you. Also, when buying a camera, you should keep in mind in you are buying a plataform and that you will be locked with the set of lenses of that lineup. For this particular reason I personally prefer Nikon over canon, so probably a Nikon 5xxx

If you don't need 4k and would like something that is compact, then I'd go with Sony ALpha A6000. But the range of lenses on the Sony line is more limited than both Nikon and Canon.

the k50 is a great starter DSLR as its weather resistant with full gasket seals.

Unlike a lot of DSLR's it can be operated of of the included battery, OR LR6 cells, which is a big plus. i get about 700 RAW shots out of the included battery, 550 out of lr6 rechargeable

I uses the K mount, so every k mount lens since the 1970's fits.

Its a great cheap entry camera, but it has issues, most noticeably AF is really slow in moderate (dusk/dawn) lighting conditions, and all the kit lenses (due to the small diameter of the lenses) have a slight vignetting/radial blur near the corners. Colors are good, though reds and oranges are a bit over exaggerated.

Hopefully the attached image is not too large resolution wise, i compressed it a bit to bring it down to a reasonable size ( it was 7mb to start)

h-how is their image stabilization, anon-kun?

I personally recommend the Nikon D 3200, I have one but looking at all the reviews that I can find for it in its price range it was the king. Granted I have been in the market for DSL are for a long fucking time so I don't know what's changed.
>>
>>60433350
If you're outside on sunny day you can turn the exposure down to about ones 320th of a second and unless you have very unsteady hands yet not to notice any kind of a shake. Granted this is a picture taken not video, for video I honestly recommend a China phone. Do not really gonna get better out of the DSLR video wise until you start paying in the thousand dollar range.

>>60432845
So you want shitty pictures

>(meaning good and cheap under $700) dslr or slr camera ?

used high end nikon or canon

If you actually give a fuck about photography and have glass that is

otherwise just buy some mid market shit with an included zoom lens
>>
>>60430697
Sony A6000
>>
>>60441254
Not him but own one. image stabilization depends on the lenses, and I've only tried native Sony lenses with OSS. It does a decent job, and is overall pretty good, I'd say 7/10. Canon has slightly better IS.
