I want to like things like Vorbis and Opus, but
>download album in Vorbis
>put on phone
>open Sony Music
>track title tags are just filenames
why even bother?

>sony music

>Sony Music
>>60428274
oh yeah, let me go and install a bunch of other players (that i will probably hate for other reasons) just because ogg has shitty support
>>60428304
Oh you're right, it's surely a packing formats fault that you are using a music player whose only advantage is that it's not programmed by Samsung or Applel.

the player has plenty of things that i like about it. it makes no sense for me to waste time trying out others just so i can see tags for what they should be on this one obscure format devs don't care enough to support properly. MP3 V0 will literally never have issues with any software or hardware; the tags will always be there and even a toaster from the 1990s will support MP3 playback. the only downside is the larger file size, which i can live with.

shut up faggot, and stop posting. i can taste your autismo via https
MP3 doesn't even support multi-dimensional tags
>>60428661
meanie! :(
>>60428262
>Opus
Opus is dead now that MP3 is free.
RIP Vorbis.

wtf is multidimensional tags
>question is not where you will place the tags, question is when
>>60429104
Multiple ARTIST tags (very common in Jazz recordings)
Multiple GENRE tags per song
Multiple TITLE tags in rare cases (I have a CD on which every song has 2 titles)
>>60428687
Does ogg support it? Which format support that? Is it what I think it is?
>>60431425
Ogg and FLAC both support it
>>60429152
>Multiple GENRE tags per song
Let's not even get started that the genre options are retarded.
>>60431495
Vorbis Comments (as used in Ogg and FLAC)
allow free-form GENRE tags, and multiple instances too.
For instance, you can tag a song
GENRE=Jazz
GENRE=Microtonal
GENRE=Xenharmonic
No problem
