did I ever tell you I had the biggest wine library of vidya (all functioning) for 5 years but I was spending so much time tweaking stuff. I wouldve loved to stay but one day I wanted things to just work for once.

Ive found true comfy now in XP dont tell me about dualboot because I used to be on the win partition playing games all day anyway. Tired of useless tweaking and ricing.

Now that the OS got my back I can actually finish other work. I've assembled 10 other xp pcs these weeks from scraps and Ive still got more waiting in the garage.

Let me tell you guys, I have like 200 games on Steam. Some of them fun, some of them not. An overwhelming majority of them are just sloppy ports from consoles or indie games that are all the same.

Eventually I just got sick of being tied to Windows just for a bunch of mediocre games. Windows as it stands right now has only one advantage, and that is the software that's made for it. That's it. The OS itself is pure garbage. In fact if you use your software, it's not BECAUSE of Windows, but in SPITE of Windows doing everything in its power to get in your fucking way.

I was just so goddamn sick of it. Eventually I just realized that I never even played most of those games anyways. Got rid of Windows a year and a half ago and never looked back. Now I have a computer that actually lets me do work without restarting all the time, or getting ransomware, or BSOD. Bought a PS4 and guess what, it actually has good games, unlike Windows. Fuck Windows. You couldn't pay me to use that trash.

i used to dual boot, but as i upgraded my primary PC, i eventually had enough spare parts to put together a new (old) one, and i chose to dedicate primarily to Linux.

it works out better this way, since the Windows PC has become an entertainment center more or less, since i do very little with it outside of pc games.
