The latest Macs are not compatible with GNU/Linux. OS X is also not fully Posix compliant, despite the certification. USB C only is fucking stupid and the function keys are gone because of the touch bar meme. I can buy an XPS or something with similar specs for 30-50% less and hackintosh it. The battery life in the 2016 "Pro" is also less than half of what's advertised, which is why Applel removed the time remaining indicator with a software update.
