>Only 8 detected after installing both sticks.
>No matter what I do, slot 2 doesn't detect ram

Other than killing myself, what the fuck should I do here /g/

Your mobo might be defective, if you send the company an email they should swap it out for you for free

Also Windows starter can only use 8 gigs (don't quote me on that), if you happen to be using that
>>
activate yur ram sloots
>>
Try using slots 1 and 3

Install in slot 1/3 not 2/4

What do you recommend? 8?

Only two slots unfortunately.

Starting to think this. I was reading reviews and one other guy had this issue.

RMA the motherboard, or use slot 3 and 4.
>>
Post build. And specific mobo.

Read your mobo's manual on the recommended dimms for dual RAM
>>
>>60398356
do both sticks post in slot 1?
if so rma the board
if no rma the ram.

This

Upgrade bios? Asus does this all the time, ram won't be recognized properly until BIOS is upgraded
>>
Do you have DDR4 2133 MHz RAM, OP?
>>
Defective ram is more common than defective mobo slot. However, it's happened to me before too, so if I were you, I would try and test known good ram or just test one stick at a time to try and find which slot is defective to confirm that it is the mobo before returning it.

Probably your cpu cooler screw too tight.
Loose the screw and try again.
CPU pin may not connect properly.
Happened to me two times with new intel mobo.
