There won't be another graphics jump like in the 2000s obviously because the amount of resources needed to make a noticeable change increases geometrically.

I think it'll be as close to being photorealistic as it gets in a few years and then we'll just have bigger resolutions until we'll have 5k photorealistic graphics and that's all as noone will invest in making changes only 0.01% of population even notice.

I don't agree. Sooner or later there will be a big jump in computing power (quantum computer, rapid single flux quantum or something similar) which will probably allow us to go for proper real time ray tracing which will be indistinguishable from foto realism, assuming good enough geometry models.

nah, I see engine nerds like Sweeney pushing so far he gets to near-raytraced level graphics in real time. 3D assets can't improve noticeably at a certain point but that point is far from reached. Engine enhancements can significantly change the rendering of those assets however.

Next jump will be in monitor Tech. I'm thinking glasses as described in Ready Player One. Just slip them on and you can see as well as your eyes will allow given enough good hardware running them.

I think once screen sizes stop increasing we'll see leaps and bounds in graphics elsewhere. For now though resolution is too small for the vernier acuity of the average human.
