Even their current APUs would violently murder Intel in tests. The problem is not the power of the GPU, but the slow RAM it has to use. If they added a fast cache, the performance would scale almost linearly. But large pools of cache quickly turn the CPU into a housefire, as Intel recently found out with their Iris graphics.
