You guys are missing something here. This is perfect for keeping sensitive information safe. On a hard drive people can force you to decrypt your private info. On a large portable HD its not so easy to find. These things can hide them anywhere they are so tiny. That combined with encrypted hidden file container.

By sensitive I don`t mean illegal it could be business accounts, whistle blower. Family photos etc.

It's not perfect for that since you can actually quite easily break or loose or whatever these, or the data can get corrupted.

They have no sane replication / data verification mechanism that is anywhere near automatic, and whatever you use should actually be doing that fully automatically if you want it to work.

like imagine all those microsd cards operating at the same time with a shitton of card readers active. How many could you hook up to a laptop in a compact space (no greater than your laptop)

Clearly you'd end up with a speed issue somewhere in this but could 32 128gb microsd cards running at the same time be possible on 1 device? Would you need to build a special hub?

Like think about this, drop an HDD and replace it with those. If something goes wrong you can replace a specific part of your storage array or expand as needed
