Hey /g/ currently I'm restoring an amplifier and I'm trying to do what this guy did but I don't know how the LED strips are able to turn on when they don't seem to be connected to a power supply like the ones at the top. I'll post more pics.

are you trying to keep it as a usable guitar stack or repurpose it as a media player? because it looks like theres an ipod plugged in there at the top.

you sure that he isn't just using a independent power source for the led's? i don't see why you would wan't to tap into the power supply on the amp, thus losing wattage that could be used by the amp itself.
/diy/ might be of assistance on doing this kind of thing.

I don't know but I'll just assume that's what it is because the LEDs all around in the front of the cabinet don't seem to be connected to anything which confuses me but the LEDs in the same head seen to be connected to a power supply
